Anti-Cw

Blood Group: Rh

Common:

Causes HDN: Yes
Critical Titer: 1:16
Information:

Anti-Cw can cause moderate HDN. In a study of 11 infants, 5 did not require treatment, 2 needed phototherapy, and 4 required exchange transfusions [2]. Another article shows that anti-Cw runs the gamut from no intervention needed to requiring IUTs, fetal hydrops, and death [3, 7, 8]. Post birth interventions can range from none, to phototherapy and exchange transfusions [3]. Titers and assessment of the baby need to be done aggressively [3].
